Paramount+ has just unveiled the first teaser for season two of Star Trek: Picard and hinting just which of Picard’s nemeses is coming back.
The teaser opens with Picard (Patrick Stewart) narrating the scene like a tour for his French chateau, and fans will recognize a lot of things the camera focuses in on, like John Milton’s “Paradise Lost” and even a model of his old ship, the Stargazer.
“The true final frontier is time,” Picard is overheard saying, before the camera goes to a Queen of Hearts playing card, which burns until only the “Q” remains.
Then, another voice comes over, saying that “the trial never ends” before it cackles.

John de Lancie, who originated the role of trickster god Q will be returning for the arc on the Paramount+ series.
Q is described as “an omnipotent, shape-shifting creature”, who delighted in annoying and testing Picard’s patient in Star Trek: The Next Generation. He returned in Deep Space Nine and Voyager, as well.
Star Trek: Picard will return in 2022.
If you missed it, Patrick formally asked this actress to return as her Star Trek character on the show.
