Well, the latest news out of the Pacific Northwest won’t be making Rodgers too thrilled, as Gutekunst was on hand are Oregon’s Pro Day to see star safety Jevon Holland. Could Green Bay end up using its first-rounder on the standout defensive back?

Brian Gutekunst scouting Oregon safety Jevon Holland won’t please Aaron Rodgers
While there’s no denying Holland is an incredible talent, and one of the best safeties available in the upcoming NFL Draft, Green Bay fans have been begging Gutekunst to bring in an explosive playmaker to add to the offense.
There was some serious drama for the Packers last spring, as Gutekunst shockingly used his first-round selection on Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. Rodgers was incredibly annoyed with that decision and rightfully so. To make things worse, Green Bay didn’t use a single pick on a wideout.
That most definitely cannot be the case for the 2021 draft. It’s on Gutekunst to step up to the plate and help Rodgers and the offense out. They need another standout wideout to pair with Davante Adams, plain and simple.
While Holland would be a great addition to the defense, there’s countless folks hoping a wide receiver makes his way to Green Bay instead. Gutekunst owes it to Rodgers to get him some help. With the Packers hoping to compete for a Super Bowl next year, a speedster on the outside could end up making the difference.
