Trey Sermon leaves the game with an apparent injury for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
On the Ohio State Buckeyes’ first possession of the game, star running back Trey Sermon had to head to the locker room with an apparent injury.
Ohio State football fans are holding their breath over the status of their important offense piece. If he is too banged up to continue or do much of anything the rest of the way, this could be a major issue for them to upset the No. 1-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide in the national championship game. Sermon has been instrumental in his first year in Columbus for Ryan Day’s football team.
Will Trey Sermon be able to continue for the Buckeyes on Monday night?
Losing Sermon hurts the Buckeyes in their quest to win a national title but Master Teague and the rest of the Ohio State offense will have to pick up the slack if he cannot return. Ohio State has very little margin for error in this game. Alabama is seen as the overwhelming favorite to win the College Football Playoff. Look for Teague and quarterback Justin Fields to pick up the slack now.
