Jackie Bradley Jr. could be joining the Milwaukee Brewers in his free agency.
After spending the last decade in the Boston Red Sox organization, outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. might be linking up with the Milwaukee Brewers in his free agency. FanSided’s Robert Murray reports the Brewers are “in the mix for the free-agent outfielder.”
Bradley has played in eight big-league seasons with the team that drafted him in the first round out of South Carolina back in 2011. The 2016 AL All-Star and 2018 Gold Glove winner is one of the biggest names still on the free-agent market. If a team like the Brewers ends up signing him, it could go a long way towards Milwaukee’s quest of winning an NL Central crown.

The Brewers could have an incredible outfield with Bradley in joining it
If Bradley were to join the Brewers in his free agency, he would likely start in centerfield for them. His addition would presumably move Lorenzo Cain to right field, with the Brewers’ best player in Christian Yelich continuing to man left field. Bradley may not typically hit for a high average, but he did slash .283/.364/.450 in what looks to be his final year with the Red Sox organization.
Milwaukee will challenge the St. Louis Cardinals and probably the Chicago Cubs for the NL Central division title. Because the other two NL divisions have a pair of NL pennant contenders apiece, it is even more important to win the NL Central this year. By adding Bradley to the mix, Milwaukee should be able to keep pace with St. Louis, maybe moving past Chicago in the divisional hierarchy.
Bradley should be joining a team here soon, as he is too talented to be without one for this long.
