Michigan fans were ecstatic to watch rival Ohio State get blown out by Alabama in the CFP National Championship Game.
When it comes to the Ohio State Buckeyes, there’s one fanbase that always keeps their eyes on them. Of course, we’re talking about the Michigan Wolverines.
The heated, longstanding rivalry has been dominated by Ohio State in recent years, as Michigan last defeated them 40-34 back in 2011. Even with the addition of head coach Jim Harbaugh and elite prospects over the years, the Buckeyes have been leaps and bounds ahead of them. As for Michigan fans, they watch Ohio State fans to watch them lose. Don’t kid yourselves, you all do the same thing.
After watching Ohio State get blown out 52-24 by the Alabama Crimson Tide in the CFP National Championship Game, to say Michigan fans were giddy is an understatement.
As a Michigan fan who hates anything Ohio State. I’m enjoying this National Championship so far lol

Najee Harris running all over Ohio State in a national championship for Alabama is the epitome of being a Michigan fan for the last like 15 years.

Michigan fans were on cloud nine
Ohio State had to deal with massive adversity from the start of the game. Star running back Trey Sermon had to depart for the hospital after suffering a collarbone injury on the Buckeyes’ first drive of the game. Then, offensive guard Wyatt Davis limped off the field with a lower-body injury just before halftime.
This Michigan fan is happy to see Alabama rolling Ohio State right now

It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy watching the Steelers get embarrassed by the Browns last night and now watching Ohio State getting embarrassed in the national championship. It gives all you fans a feeling of what us Detroit/Michigan fans go through annually.

As a Michigan fan. This azz whoopin makes me happy.
As a Michigan fan. I also realize Ohio State will continuously whoop us until Jim Harbaugh is no longer our head coach

Plus, Alabama simply had too much talent on the offensive side of the ball, and Ohio State struggled mightily in trying to defend them.
Wide receiver and 2020 Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith recorded 12 receptions for 215 yards and two touchdowns before leaving the game in the third quarter with a hand injury. Running back Najee Harris rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, while also catching seven passes for 79 yards and a score. Quarterback Mac Jones had a historic night, where he completed 36-of-45 pass attempts for 464 yards and five touchdowns.
With Justin Fields bound to be selected in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft, maybe next year is the year where Michigan finally earns their coveted win over Ohio State? Wolverines fans certainly hope so.
