Mackenzie Dern utilized the entire first round to finish Nina Nunes via an armbar with just seconds remaining at UFC Vegas 23.
Mackenzie Dern improved to 11-1 as a professional and increased her win-streak to four-straight inside the Octagon. At UFC Vegas 23, Dern took on Nina Nunes, who is the wife of UFC double-champion, Amanda Nunes.
Dern took the center of the cage and set up her combinations before securing a takedown and winding up in Nunes’ full guard. Once there, Dern took half-guard and found an opening. After transitioning to mount and landing a few strikes, Nunes left her arm exposed, and Dern capitalized on the opportunity presented.
