Should the Jets actually try to win now.
No one thought these words would ever be uttered, but the New York Jets won a football game.
New York’s 23-20 upset over the Los Angeles Rams, the Jets have knocked themselves out of the No.1 pick and well beyond the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes. Yes, while the franchise is still going to be picking high, things are questionable when it comes under center.
Cleveland picked up their first 10-win season in over 20 yards. Baker Mayfield looks to be the right guy for the hapless franchise after another stellar outing in a 20-6 victory over the New York Giants. More than any of that, since Odell Beckham Jr. has been out, the former No.1 pick has thrived in the pocket, barely causing a turnover in the last seven games.
Things have become interesting in the AFC North following Monday. With the Pittsburgh Steelers losing to the Cincinnati Bengals, the division could be Cleveland’s for the taking. The Steelers are on a three-game losing streak while Cleveland looks to be on the rise as the next great club.
Could a win this weekend make Week 17 one of the most enticing games of the season?
