James Harden is in some trouble for partying amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The NBA announced in a statement that James attended the party on Monday (December 21), and because he was in violation of the organization’s health protocols, he was being fined $50,000. He will not be suspended.
During the ongoing pandemic, NBA players are not allowed to visit bars or clubs, and aren’t allowed to gather in groups of more than 15 people.
James was ruled “unavailable” for the Rockets game against the Oklahoma City Thunder was scheduled for Wednesday night (December 23). The game had to be postponed as three players – not including James – had COVID-19 test results that were “either positive or inconclusive,” and four other players were placed in quarantine through contact tracing.
