Per a report, the Jacksonville Jaguars will interview Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy for their open head coaching position.
As you might expect, Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is one of the hottest targets around. Despite Kansas City still going strong and hoping to repeat as Super Bowl champs, multiple organizations have shown interest in Bieniemy to take over as head coach.
Now, per ESPN’s Josina Anderson, you can add the Jacksonville Jaguars to the list, as the AFC South team is in the process of scheduling an interview with the touted coach. Could a move to Jacksonville be on the way?

The Jacksonville Jaguars could end up stealing Eric Bieniemy away from Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs
After Jacksonville decided to part ways with Doug Marrone and his 1-15 showing in 2020, multiple names emerged as potential candidates. In addition to Bieniemy, Jaguars fans have grown quite intrigued with the though of Urban Meyer potentially taking over.
At the same time, it really only feels like a matter of time before Bieniemy is given his shot to be a head coach. Everyone has seen what he’s been able to do running the Kansas City offense, as the Chiefs are looking like they could once again take home the Lombardi Trophy.
Under Bieniemy’s direction, Patrick Mahomes is having another spectacular year. In the regular season, he led the Chiefs to a 14-2 record, throwing for 4,740 yards, 38 touchdowns and only six interceptions. The Chiefs’ offensive play-calling was brilliant throughout the year, leading to Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and others having so much success.
Now, it’s looking like Andy Reid may have to get ready for life without Bieniemy as his offensive coordinator. The Jaguars could end up taking him, but if they don’t, someone else could end up doing it.
