Florida State Seminoles add three defensive starters and one starting running back to its 2021 roster via the transfer portal
The Florida State Seminoles continue to revitalize its roster for the 2021 season through the transfer portal, confirming this week that they have added four new potential starters.
The lone offensive transfer that will call Tallahassee home next fall is former Auburn starting running back DJ Williams, who made his transfer announcement official via Instagram.
The former four-star recruit had a stellar freshman season in 2019, rushing for over 400 yards, including a 13 carry, 130-yard performance against the eventual national champion, LSU Tigers. Williams saw limited playing time in 2020, only rushing for 199 yards and three touchdowns.
Senior defensive back Brandon Moore will finish his collegiate career at Florida State after a successful stint at UCF.

Mike Norvell needed a talent infusion at Florida State
Moore will join his friend and former UCF star quarterback McKenzie Milton in Tallahassee in 2021, who announced his transfer to the ACC program last month.
Moore, a redshirt senior, has not played since suffering a torn ACL in the 2019 season opener that sidelined him for the rest of that season and all of 2020. Moore was a mainstay in the Knights’ lineup after becoming a full-time starter in 2018. He has 77 career tackles, two interceptions and 19 passes defended during his UCF career.
Second-year Florida State football head coach Mike Norvell also added two former South Carolina Gamecocks to his 2021 roster, welcoming defensive back Jammie Robinson and defensive lineman Keir Thomas.

Robinson, a former four-star recruit, signed with South Carolina in 2019 and started for two years at safety and nickelback.
He is the second former defensive back from the SEC to transfer to Florida State in recent weeks, joining former Arkansas cornerback Jarques McClellion.
Graduate transfer Keir Thomas will provide more experience and depth to the Seminoles’ defensive line in 2021, having started more than 30 games in his collegiate career.
In seven games during the 2020 campaign, Thomas recorded 32 tackles (5.5 per game), 3.0 sacks, and 5.5 tackles for loss. He has 18.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks in his career.
The Seminoles commence their 2021 season in a highly-anticipated matchup with Notre Dame on Sunday, September 5th, at Doak Campbell Stadium.
