Despite missing last Sunday’s game with a calf injury, running back Ezekiel Elliott was ready to do anything to help the Cowboys get a win.
If you’ve been following the Dallas Cowboys closely this year, you know it hasn’t been a great season for running back Ezekiel Elliott. After signing his massive contract extension in the offseason, No. 21 simply hasn’t lived up to the hype in 2020, especially with so many people thinking he’d power the offense once Dak Prescott went down.
Things got worse for Elliott last week when he was ruled out with a calf injury against the 49ers. To his credit, though, Elliott showcased just how great of a teammate he’ll always be, as he coached up Tony Pollard and helped him have a sensational showing in Week 15.

Cowboys fans will love seeing Ezekiel Elliott coaching up Tony Pollard on the sidelines
Despite not being able to suit up, Elliott really was ready to help Dallas come out on top in any way he could help. It all started with assisting Pollard, who ended up rushing for two touchdowns against San Francisco.
In the clip above, Elliott is seen passionately giving Pollard advice on the bench. Later in the game, Pollard ended up breaking free for a long touchdown run. Who knew Elliott was the one who helped Pollard get ‘tough’ and bulldoze his way for the big touchdown?
While many Cowboys fans have been frustrated with Elliott’s play this campaign, there’s no denying he loves the Cowboys and will always put the team first. Elliott will look to get back healthy and on the field for Week 16’s tilt against the Eagles.
If he can’t play again, don’t be surprised to see him giving Pollard helpful tips throughout the contest against Philadelphia.
