When Drew Brees takes the field on Sunday against the Chicago Bears, he’ll be donning some incredible cleats for the action.
Sunday is a huge day for Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. With reports stating the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback is getting ready to call it a career once this campaign comes to a close, we could be seeing him play for the last time.
Of course, New Orleans is ready to do anything possible to keep his playing days going.
With the Chicago Bears up next in a Wild Card Round showdown, Brees will take the field at the Superdome with some extra swag. That’s because he’s rocking some pretty sweet cleats in which he honors MLB legends on them.

Drew Brees honoring baseball legends on his cleats is awesome
Goodness, those are just amazing. As you can see from the photo the Saints posted on their official Twitter account, Brees has chosen to honor Ken Griffey Jr., Nolan Ryan and Satchel Paige with his custom game day cleats. Hey, look good, play good? That’s surely what Brees is aiming for on Sunday.
While his cleats are sensational, Saints fans everywhere are more concerned on how he’ll end up playing against Chicago and its nasty, tough defense. Fortunately for Brees, both Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas are both ready to rock for Sunday’s tilt.
In what could end up being a close game between these two NFC sides, New Orleans supporters will hope Brees will be able to dice up the Bears’ defense and keep his incredible career going for at least one more week. Should he end up having a big game, don’t be surprised to see him wear these same cleats in the Divisional Round too.
