The Masters is back at Augusta for the 2021 season and we have the DraftKings fantasy golf picks, predictions and lineup you need for this week.
It’s only been a little under 150 days since The Masters was last played thanks to an unprecedented November presentation but the best golfers in the world are heading to Augusta once again. They’ll tee it up on April 8-11 on the hallowed grounds of this sport and that means that DraftKings fantasy golf players will be looking hard to try and win some money.
The interesting thing about the DraftKings tournaments for The Masters is how the strength of the field affects pricing. It’s soft prices for some players who have good win equity and could actually put you in the money easily. Then again, there is a reason that the most expensive players on the slate are at that price — they’re the favorites to win.
So we’re going to go through every pricing tier on DraftKings for The Masters 2021 slate and highlight the best options before building some lineups that could ultimately pop this week for DFS players.
DraftKings 2021 Masters picks: $10,000 range
Dustin Johnson ($11,500) – With two straight finishes outside the top 45 prior to this tournament, Johnson’s form isn’t where it was heading into the November win. Even still, he’s the No. 1-ranked player in the world for a reason and he could always come up and make some noise trying to defend his title.
Jon Rahm ($11,000) – Even with an equipment change, Rahm has continued to put up great results, most recently notching a top-10 at THE PLAYERS. After finishing in the top 10 at the November Masters, his game is suited to win this tournament at some point in his career. And this week could be as good as any.
Bryson DeChambeau ($10,800) – DeChambeau trying to overpower Augusta didn’t work out too well for him in November but he appears to have a newfound respect for the property and will be wiser and more controlled about it. Still, I have my doubts about how successful his approach will be — then again, he’s proven doubters wrong time and again.
Justin Thomas ($10,600) – Every year that Justin Thomas has played The Masters, he’s gotten a better result when it was all said and done. And he’s rounding into form at the right time as he won THE PLAYERS the last time we saw him in a field. His ball-striking is pristine with his irons and that’s what you need to win around the azaleas.
Rory McIlroy ($10,200) – No one is going to look at the way McIlroy has been playing recently and be confident, especially at a place where a victory has eluded him. But we all know what his talent is and he’s been working on his swing, which might actually alleviate some pressure and allow him to be a relatively low-owned player who pays off this high price on DraftKings.
Xander Schauffele ($10,000) – On the heels of back-to-back second-place finishes, Schauffele has really been struggling to find himself. He was 15th at The Genesis, outside the top 30 at the WGC-Workday and then missed the cut by a wide margin at THE PLAYERS. His game should suit Augusta but the recent form just isn’t there.
