The Steelers and Colts both need a win Sunday to avoid drama in their respective playoff races.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a bit of a free-fall after an 11-0 start. The team has now lost three straight, the offense can’t score, and blame is being cast toward JuJu Smith-Schuster for his dancing. None of this is ideal.
They now face a tough test against a 10-4 Indianapolis Colts team that still has a shot to win the AFC South title. This is easily one of the top games of the week, given the Steelers actually show up after a terrible loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
What to watch for in Colts-Steelers
The Pittsburgh offense needs to wake up. They have failed to score more than 17 points in each of the past three games and the running game has disappeared, leaving an aging Ben Roethlisberger throwing the ball way too much.
A win secures the AFC North for the Steelers. But a loss and a win by the Cleveland Browns over the New York Jets sets up a Week 17 showdown, surely in primetime, for the division crown.
The Colts need to win this game and have the Tennessee Titans lose to the Green Bay Packers to jump ahead in the division and control their own destiny. A Wild Card berth is likely too barring a loss to Pittsburgh and a shocking defeat against a Jacksonville Jaguars team in Week 17 that will be looking to hold onto the top spot in the draft.
Another storyline from this game will be JuJu Smith-Schuster and his current dancing ban. Will he show any personality if he scores?
