The young Philadelphia Flyers netminder learned to not put the puck anywhere near Sidney Crosby.
The first game of the 2021 NHL season will feature a contest between heated rivals as the Pittsburgh Penguins face off against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers did take an early 2-1 lead in the first period thanks to goals by James van Riemsdyk and Nolan Patrick, but it didn’t last long.
In the second period, Flyers goaltender Carter Hart went to retrieve the puck from behind the net to try and pass it to a teammate down the ice. The problem was the puck was intercepted by Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby and put it in the empty net to tie the game.
This is probably the best form of hand-eye coordination you’ll see this season.

Crosby shows no signs of slowing down
Crosby didn’t have an ideal 2019-20 season, as he was limited to just 41 games after undergoing core muscle surgery at the start of the campaign. The Stanley Cup Playoffs were no better for Crosby and the Penguins, as they were bounced in the play-in round against the Montreal Canadiens. The star center tallied 16 goals and 31 assists that regular-season.
Not a bad way for Crosby to kick off the 16th season of his career. As for Hart, he’s set to end up on the Week 1 lowlights reel.
