The 31-year-old actor appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday night (January 8) to talk about the new hit show.
Jimmy asked Regé if he felt that he had to give his family a heads up about the content of the show.
“Yeah. To be fair, at this point, you can’t really phase my family. If you come up through theatre, they see stuff and they kind of don’t blink anymore, but there are warnings. The family WhatsApp group has red flashing lights. It’s like ep. 5, whoop, whoop whoop,” he said. “But you don’t tend to reach everyone sometimes. We missed one of my cousins and she sent me a message just like, ‘I had to make so many tactical cups of tea during the show. And then I come back and you were still going so I had to go back and turn the kettle back on.’”
Regé, “So, my family are very, very stimulated and caffeinated at this point, which sounds like a deadly combination.”
