Tyrell Fortune defeated the trash-talking Jack May at Bellator 255.
Tyrell Fortune was supposed to fight Matt Mitrione at Bellator 255, but due to an undisclosed reason, Mitrione left the fight and was replaced by Jack May. While the fight only came together days in advance, May was already talking trash to Fortune out of the cage. The two men had some sizzling beef heading into their Bellator 255 bout, and while the trash talk was being returned between the two men, Fortune made sure to do all the speaking at Bellator 255, defeating May by TKO early in the first.

May was clearly outmatched from the bell, and Fortune made him play, getting May on the ground and hammering him with a constant barrage of strikes. It took longer than it should, with the referee letting May take a few more shots than needed before finally awarding Fortune with the win. Fortune now goes to 10-1 and called out Valentin Moldavsky after his win, challenging him to a fight as he’s ahead of Fortune.
This was the second time the pair have fought, the first bout ended in a no-contest after May suffered from a groin strike. This is where the beef stemmed from.
