AEW President Tony Khan announces special Dynamite in honor of Jon Huber
The wrestling world was left stunned when Huber passed away on December 26. According to his wife, Huber died of a “non-COVID lung issue.” Since then, the wrestling world has poured out heartfelt tributes and reflections on Huber.
Since joining AEW earlier this year, Huber was the leader of the Dark Order stable and held the AEW TNT title for just under two months. During his near eight-year run with the WWE, Huber captured the WWE Intercontinental championship, Smackdown Tag Team championship and NXT Tag Team championship.
In the main event of the tribute episode, three of Brodie’s favorite wrestlers in AEW, Cody Rhodes, Orange Cassidy and 10 of the Dark Order will take on Team Taz.
The night will also feature AEW Tag Team champions The Young Bucks teaming with Dark Order member Colt Cabana to take on Matt Hardy and Private Party.
